Rae Knightly was born in Belgium but spent many years abroad in places such as Mexico, South Africa, Arizona, Scotland and finally ended up in Canada. During this time, she picked up four languages and came to appreciate this blue pebble floating in the confines of space. Her current human mission is to keep the stars shining in her two children's eyes, while hopefully igniting new ones within others across the globe.

Rae spends her time spirit traveling to distant galaxies or exploring the breathtaking landscapes of British Columbia, before returning with more adventures for her readers. After the success of The Alien Skill Series, she is now working on a new project: The Lost Space Treasure.
