Marybeth Wishart is a Retired Special Education Teacher of over 34 years who taught at both the elementary and high school levels. Parker the Purple Penguin is her first published children’s book and is a story she told her own children over 30 years ago. She has discovered its message is an important and timeless one. Marybeth is now enjoying sharing the book with her grandchildren, along with children throughout the world. Marybeth is a Connecticut native recently relocating to South Carolina with her husband of over 40 years. She enjoys book clubs, writing picture books, volunteering with church activities, traveling, grand-parenting, and trying as many new things as possible.
