The holidays can be a stressful time. Did you remember to buy little Suzy the doll she asked Santa for? What about all those Christmas decorations? Will you get them up before the party on Saturday? Oh, and don’t forget the eggnog for the party! Need a break from all the craziness? Get yourself a copy of Gingerbread Funnies, sit down in a comfy chair, and have a good laugh. You deserve it!

Gingerbread Funnies is a lighthearted look at the life of Gingerbread Men (and Women!). Drawn only in red, with white backgrounds, each page features a gingerbread “person” portraying various characters, jobs, and even famous paintings. With just a few lines of text on each page, it doesn’t take long to get through the almost 60 drawings, but you’ll likely have several good chuckles along the way. With captions such as “Julius Ginger,” “Gingerbread Nag,” and “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Man,” you can probably imagine the silly, and funny, line drawings that accompany the tag lines. There were a few that elicited a groan first, followed by a giggle and I suspect you’ll have the same reaction.

My sixteen-year-old son grabbed this book at breakfast this morning and laughed quite a bit. So whether you’re a teenager, or a 40+ adult (I’m not giving my age!), Gingerbread Funnies is the perfect book to release some holiday stress.

Quill says: If you’re looking for the perfect teen/adult stocking stuffer, a gift for a holiday party, or just need a good laugh, consider getting a copy of Gingerbread Funnies.
