A book filled with absolute inspiration! We are living in a harsh world - economically, medically, personally - all around us tragedies are going on daily. However, there are also triumphs mixed in that have gotten buried in this world of constant and utter upheaval. In this lovely book, a person has finally appeared in the writing world who wants to shout out about the good things; shout out about the fact that life, itself, should be heralded instead of constantly looking at the bad and unjust that is playing on the news stations every single minute of the day.
Using lovely illustrations that make readers ‘feel’ as if they are on a journey down the path of hope, faith, and heartwarming issues - stepping away from the jungle of harm in their everyday lives - this author devotes pages to honoring the simple yet forgotten feelings that each and every one of us had within our hearts when we were first born. And each and every page reminds us of the life lessons and the warmth we should all be carrying in our hearts for ourselves, our families, and one another.
To give small examples: we are told at one point to embrace life! “Oppression is so overwhelming that in order to move forward its vital barriers must be destroyed. EMBRACE challenge…” These are words that should drive home the fact that challenges are actually good things. They make us feel as if we are still alive and awake and have the drive, courage, stamina, and passion to charge ahead and not look back. Yes, there will be trials in life - some unbelievably difficult and some that will feel as if they are impossible to overcome - but we can overcome them and go on to the next day knowing that life - even on its bad days - is a true and utter gift.
From the choices we make to the adversity we face to our ability to forgive others - the author has put words and pictures on the page that offer everyone a moment to sit down, away from the stress of the day, and read the words we need to hear. It is also the perfect book to read one “thought” a day before going out into the jungle and facing what lies ahead. Being able to begin with a smile, a thought, a word of love, is like a pat on the back as you walk out the door - knowing that you have been granted more time to make a difference.
Getting rid of the shackles of the past and finding a way to move on will be a bit easier after reading this book. Words of faith, tranquility, and confidence will make readers’ minds shine, and will also work as a guide through the rougher times of our lives. Bravo!
Quill Says: A very well done book. Small on the outside, yet filled with the words that readers have been longing to hear for quite some time!
