Melissa grew up in rural North Dakota with a lot of time on her hands and one big imagination. She spent her days playing outdoors on her family’s farm, where her imagination led her to write endless stories. Her nights were spent hidden beneath her covers well after bedtime, reading her books by way of flashlight.

She now resides in Lincoln, North Dakota, with her husband and their two children. Melissa loves writing about being the best you can be and finding magic in the everyday. When not writing, you will find her chasing after her children, sipping hot chocolate while cheering in the ice hockey rink, and enjoying the outdoors.
