Feathered Quill Book Reviews
“Quill says: By enmeshing his own family recollections with historical fact and rich fictional characterizations and settings, Harry Karapalides has constructed a deeply moving account of war and loss contrasted with loyalty, respect, and abiding love.”

“I grew up with these stories. There is a fellow at our church who fought the Nazi and the Reds in Macedonia and now in his 90s he still speaks of these years of his life. I recommend this book to anyone, but most especially to Greek Americans and Canadians. It will be an emotionally wrenching read. You'll find tears streaming down your face at times, as often out of anger as from sadness. My only question is what impact will this fine book have on non-Greeks? The book is "culturally" very, very Greek. I expect I'll be explaining the "mindset" of the people in the book to my non-Greek friends.”

Ellen Bradley/Amazon review for A Christmas War
“This is an amazing story about faith and redemption in a small village during Christmas 1944. I loved the writing style - there were times I swear I could actually feel the cold! Excellent book.”
AudioBook Reviewer for A Christmas War
“Bradford Reimer loathes Christmas and all it stands for; he has lost his faith. Forced to leave his ill daughter and wife behind as he goes to fight in WWII, it is here amidst the death and violence that Reimer begins to understand faith. Pushed beyond his limits, Reimer is reminded that he is not alone. Aided by a grandfatherly village man along with his granddaughter, Reimer begins to find his faith. However, it is not until he returns home that he discovers the full extent of the power of faith and the mysterious power faith holds. This story also has a supernatural/paranormal feel to it at times.”
Margaret Fairchild/Amazon review for Revolt
“A spy novel set in the American Revolution, with twists and turns which will leave you surprised and wondering again and again, as you also get a great history lesson. Adventure, war, courage, patriotism, treason, and even a love story; as you witness the development of the mind and soul of the main character through the story, a great read!”
Lt. Colonel Robert A. Lynn, Florida Guard/Amazon review for Dates of the American Revolution
“Many writers have reminded us that the War of American Independence-known in Great Britain at that time as "the American War"-wasn't the same as the American Revolution. The revolution entailed innovations in government and new political ideas and institutions changing the role of the citizen, the nature of the legislative representation, the power of the executive, and the relations between national and local governments. The war, on the other hand, was waged in a manner readily recognizable to veterans of previous conflicts, especially the Seven Years' War, which began twenty years earlier. The War for American Independence wasn't "revolutionary" in military ideas or practice. Dates of the American Revolution: Who, What, and Where in the War for Independence is an outstanding book. If you are a serious student of U.S. history, this book should be on your personal shelf in your library. Highly recommended reading.”
