Hi! I'm Elizabeth. I grew up in the Central New York area where I reside now with my husband, and I am a first grade teacher in my home district. When I am not at work, I love to swim, explore new places, be with my family, paddle board, and dive into a good book! I have always loved to read and I absolutely love reading children's books to my students and seeing their excitement, laughter, and imagination light up when they hear a story. This was my inspiration to make me want to write my own children's book! I've read so many other children's books that I wanted to finally give my own a try.

The snowy setting and characters of my book were inspired by my childhood. Growing up with my three siblings in the winter was pure magic! We would sled on our backyard hill, build forts and snowmen, ice skate, and let our young imaginations run wild. However, as I grew into my young adult life, I found the other joys of the cold weather; movies, hot chocolate, warm blankets, and good books. So why not mix the two - the nostalgia of winter with a love of reading!

This story follows a lovable snowball around named Sal, as he goes through his day full of adventures. He has a problem in which he relies on his friends for help. This story is entertaining as Sal learns the importance of patience, friendship, and the beauty of loving yourself for who you are!
