Bernie Freytag was born in a remote town in the center of New York State. He spent most of his childhood conjuring up this or that with a pencil or pen, with his earliest memory of drawing and creating traced all the way back to a very young age of 6 years old. As the years passed, he would find more and more ways to create and eventually started a journey into writing. He wrote about this thing and that thing (one thing being this bio, obviously written in the 3rd person). He never saw his writings going much further than a few paragraphs, until one day when he had what he likes to call, a spiritual awaking…without all the religious mumbo jumbo of course. But this calling gave him the voice to create his first novel, Find Wonder in the Ordinary: A Kid’s Book for Adults, released in the Summer of 2019. Originally conceived as a vehicle for his art, it eventually became a full fledged book describing his path over the past 20 years or so, and explaining his view on life through observations and creativity. Or possibly more accurate, his path back to his inner child. Bernie lives simply, on a remote hill in the country with his dog. Not unlike the Grinch, but without all the animosity. Bernie is currently working on his sophomore effort and will always see himself writing, drawing and creating.
