"How can an end-of-world story be so funny? With a likeable character like Doomy Prepper, a typical fifth grader with an interesting cast of friends and an over-preparing family, the author has woven a hilarious story. The setting being the eighties, I could relate to a lot of the now-considered-antique items. I loved the style where each chapter starts with a list and a notebook page illustration. A good book for getting quite a few laughs.”

"Doomy is just your average 5th grader - except of course that his parents are the ultimate in prepping for the end of the world and they have the toilet paper to prove it! When the lights in the sky start changing color and kids from school start disappearing, Doomy and his friends know they need to find the answers. This is a madcap mystery that will be sure to have readers of all ages glued to the page and laughing until they snort!"

"This is such a fun mystery for well, everyone who loves a great mystery. This is a mystery of the extraterrestrial kind if Doomy has this figured right. But he's no slough, he will investigate to find the facts. So much fun and a wonderful middle-grade type read. My kids loved this and want more!"

"Doomy Prepper where do I even start? Let’s start with the three basics. 1. it’s hilarious! I was two pages in and I was already hysterically laughing. The best part is definitely Ms. Nebula’s hairy mole...it’s hilarious!!! 2. I love the chapter titles. It’s like I can find out everything about the chapter just by the three facts it lists. It’s so cool, not many books have that. 3 everything...is that an answer? Amie Borst is a great author. I got the book just a little while ago and all my friends already want one. Within a short amount of time, she’ll be as big as Judy Blume! Thanks to my parents for buying me this book and thanks to Amie for making it The BEST use of money!!!!!!!"
