Very rarely does a children's book come along that hits on all the areas necessary to make a bestseller. From perfect illustrations to a plot that kids will enjoy and completely relate to - all the way to the scientific points and information that children and adults should know about that are affecting our world as it stands today. This, however, is that book.

Readers meet a young boy by the name of Diego. Like most kids, he believes that if he were only a wizard with that famous wand that can ‘do it all,’ he could change the world in every respect for the better. He loves to daydream - everything from being the best at soccer and winning the World Cup one day to using his wizard powers to make all families - no matter where they live - have food on their tables, a roof over their heads, and a chance at a great education. Diego wants to literally make the world a better place.

Readers follow Diego’s thoughts as he speaks about how far technology has come - far enough to land a man on the moon. He speaks about cars, computers and books, as well as how the Earth runs, lives and breathes - completely unique from the other planets in our solar system that are unable to sustain life. From The Greenhouse Effect to global warming to rising sea levels and renewable energy, Diego finds out a great deal about what he can do to restore the planet and to gain national and international attention for this growing problem. Diego can see through it all and KNOWS that with the world coming together as one, we can save the planet. He talks about education and how each of us can make a difference.

The illustrations and the ‘points’ of this book are truly informative, fun, entertaining and immensely educational. Perhaps we should all try out our wizard skills today!

Quill Says: A fantastic read for both children and adults, touching on issues that we should be paying far more attention to!
