Sigh...the life of a goldfish is, well, let's face it...dull. Swim, eat, nap, swim, eat, nap. What else is there to do in a tiny goldfish bowl? If you're curious (and you should be!), then check out Memoirs of a Goldfish!

Life starts out pretty mundane for our featured goldfish:

Day One - I swam around my bowl.

Day Two - I swam around my bowl. Twice.

Day Three - I swam around my bowl. I thought about taking a nap. But fish don't sleep. So I swam around my bowl.

But on day four, well, that's when things start to get VERY interesting. You see, our goldfish gets a friend, a seriously funny friend. Then the next day another new friend shows up and each day after that, until that little bowl is just tooooo crowded. What will the goldfish do? He wants his bowl back! He wants HIS bowl, without any of those annoying newcomers. When the goldfish gets his wish, however, and he finds himself once again alone, he quickly realizes that he misses all his new friends.

There is little doubt that this book will have your little one in stitches from page one. The story is sweet, goofy, and has a great ending; everything a good children’s book needs. The illustrations are absolutely perfect and together make for one very enjoyable story. Memoirs of a Goldfish has won numerous national awards including the prestigious "Children's Choices" award and it's easy to see why - it's a fun, silly, totally entertaining read.

Quill says: Who knew the life of a goldfish could be so exciting? Check out this hysterical book and find out for yourself just what goes on in that goldfish bowl on your desk...
