In this enchanting board book filled with Jacqueline Jules inimitable sing song verse, the very young child will be able to experience some of the joys of Hanukkah. As the book concludes, there are eight panels, each showing a different family activity. Each day one more candle on the menorah has been lit. "Our smiles spin from face to face / Like dreidels by the fireplace. / Knowing we have eight full nights / Of happy Hanukkah candle lights."

The joy of Hanukkah is felt on each and every page of this lovely little board book. The appealing artwork captures the "family" atmosphere on every page. For example on the first page we see a family portrait on the wall. In the eight panels family togetherness appears to be emphasized. My favorite is when the family gets together and the children give a gift to their Savta as she sits in her wheelchair. If you'd like an introductory book about Hanukkah to share with your little one, this is one you should consider!
