Melanie, pronounced Muh-Lane-e, was born in 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri, and studied Liberal Arts at the University of Oklahoma. She won BEST FEMALE SCRIPTWRITER for her screenplay He's Just A Boy at the Toronto International Women's Film Festival, BEST DARK COMEDY, BEST SHORT, and BEST FEMALE STORY at The Halo International Film Festival in 2022, and combined all her screenplays have been selected to participate in 35 film festivals.
She is the author of several books, including The Last Life of Emma Taylor, Ashes at Woodstock, Living with John Wayne, Land of Tornadoes, Professor Hex Vs Texas Men: Where Women's Rights and Revenge Fantasy Meet, and several other works under Melanie S. Wolfe, M. Sovran Wolfe and other short works published on the internet. Melanie is a member of the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
