A magnificent fellow with a background in publicity, marketing, and travel.

Lorenzo is both American and Italian, raised in USA speaking both English and Italian. Since age 11, he spent his summers with his grandparents in Southern Italy. Every year, he continues to revisit close friends and relatives all over Italy, including his family’s hometown near Avellino.

Starting as a student of Biology and Chemistry, Lorenzo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Economics at Suffolk University in Boston. During which, he spent a semester abroad in Milan; studying Italian literature, history, politics and art history. With a background in global event logistics, he returned to Suffolk University to pursue an M.B.A. in Global Business and Marketing. During this time, he completed a graduate internship in international promotions for one of the major music labels in New York City. Overall, many say Lorenzo uses both his left and right brain in all of his work.

Upon receiving the specialized Global-M.B.A. degree, he worked in marketing and publicity for many of public television’s popular how-to programs and international TV hosts; including cooking, travel, woodworking, gardening, and more. After leaving the media industry, Lorenzo moved to Rome, providing food-focused content to a travel company, and researched for his writing.

Lorenzo currently lives in Massachusetts, writing about food, cocktails, and travel; which can be found on his blog Magnusmade.com. Lorenzo has been published in publications including Intermezzo Magazine and SIP – For the Love of Drink magazine.

Lorenzo is a Scorpio and enjoys having conversations with new people over cocktails and small plates. His favorite drink is the classic Americano (or Milano-Torino).

Lorenzo’s debut novel The Love Fool (2018) is a romantic comedy inspired romp set in Rome. His second novel. A Mistake Incomplete (2020) is a noir-inspired caper set in Milan – with a focus on cocktails and suspense. Both available at your favorite booksellers.
