Author Bios: Debra Whiting Alexander

Debra Whiting Alexander's debut novel, Zetty, has won several awards and was inspired by her grandmother who died in a psychiatric hospital at the age of 41. Debra holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, a license in Marriage and Family Therapy, and specializes in post-trauma treatment. She is the author of numerous non-fiction books including, Children Changed by Trauma, Loving Your Teenage Daughter (Whether She Likes It Or Not), and The Emotional Recovery Resource Kit written in response to 9/11. She currently writes women's fiction with a mental health twist. Debra grew up on the beaches in San Diego, moved to New York, and finally settled in Oregon where she currently lives with her husband and two labs. Her next novel is expected out next year.
