Alexander “Alex” J. Kirkland is a writer, author, and book cover designer based in Kansas City. He was nominated for best Best Local Author in The Kansas City Pitch for his debut memoir, Wolves of Hemp Street. The memoir has also been featured in Westword Magazine, VoyagerKC, and Canvas Rebel.
Since the release of Wolves, Alex has self-published two more memoirs of his own: When Obstacles Limit Freedom, which tackles his struggle with panic attacks and the beginning of cervical vertigo; and The Cricket Chronicles, which tells humorous and clumsy experiences from his time working as a server at the popular and well-renowned burger establishment in Denver, The Cherry Cricket. He also helped his uncle with his own paranormal memoir, When The Footsteps Stop. When Alex isn’t writing he’s eating cheesecake.
